SUMMER TOURS SERIES 2026 · FARMACY GREEN HUB
What if a farm could grow more than food?
Fresh produce is only part of the story. At Farmacy Green Hub, our students explored how indoor farming can connect technology, schools and communities—before getting hands-on with an Ocean Farm prototype.

THE EXPERIENCE
Discoveries worth bringing home.
Inside Farmacy’s headquarters, students toured a large-scale indoor growing lab and explored the technology behind hydroponic farming. It was a chance to see how engineering can support food production in a very different setting from a traditional farm. But Farmacy’s vision reaches beyond the growing space. Its school farm labs connect growing with donating, giving back and learning how to keep a project going. This opened up a bigger conversation: how could a school farm serve its community, and how could entrepreneurial thinking help sustain it? Students then worked on an Ocean Farm prototype, bringing the visit back to something they could explore with their own hands. From the growing lab to the communities it can support, the day offered a fresh way to think about technology: not only what it can make, but who it can help.
